WHAT INSPIRES US
Partnering with our patients to restore hope & create excitement about the direction their health is headed

Dr. Elizabeth Laffay, DO
Chief Leading Physician
Dr. Laffay is a leader in the functional medicine movement. After graduating at the top of her class with a BS in Nutritional Sciences at Michigan State University, she went on to complete Osteopathic Medical School.
During her practice in Emergency Medicine, she felt a disconnect with humanity to be pervasive in western medicine and sought out Functional Medicine through the Cleveland Clinic.
After suffering for years with her own health issues, her quest to restore her personal health and discontent with conventional medicine led her to change everything about her practice of medicine. After being a leading Physician in the Emergency Room for nearly two decades, she is grateful to be fulfilling her dream: caring for patients one-on-one in her private practice.
She has been featured on national podcasts, radio, documentaries and broadcast shows and has testified multiple times at the State Capitol. Dr. Beth has completed an advanced fellowship program in Hormone Health offered by the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is a member of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M), The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) and is an American Frontline Doctor.
She has successfully partnered with patients from multiple states and 2 countries.

Karen Brown
Founder & CEO
Karen founded Elite Wellness Group in 2014 after graduating with a degree in Business and being an owner/operator of DaySpring Natural Health Food Stores. She struggled with infertility, Chronic IBS, intense food allergies and auto-immune diseases during those years owning the HF stores. She spent 15+ years during her thirties trying to find healing through natural and conventional medicine with no success, being told she would never have children.
She decided to take control over her life and health after her experience of handing over control to everyone from Massage therapists, hypnotherapists, chiropractors to Allergists, ND's and handfuls of medical doctors. She knew there had to be a better way to attain good health.
Her struggles as a patient helped her to create Elite Wellness Group, LLC and what is now Elite Healthcare. Her path to health was her inspiration while forming Elite Wellness Group. She knew it wouldn't be a quick fix and was looking for a permanent solution to her health problems. The personalized care was something that was missing for her as well. Interacting with many caregivers, she felt like a number not a person. She vowed to give each patient at Elite personalized, compassionate care knowing what it felt like to feel alone in a health journey.
She is now enjoying incredibly vibrant health, and has been for 13 years and is a proud mother of a college age son.

Ashley Taylor, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Ashley is a graduate of Mount Union University with a degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Health. She proceeded to further her education at the University of Toledo, Health and Science Campus and received a Master's Degree in Biomedical Science with a concentration in Physician Assistant Studies.
Throughout her life and personal experiences, Ashley has had a natural lifetime interest in human anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and exercise science. During her first pregnancy, she read all of the literature she could get her hands on and carefully counted servings of food on a daily basis. Ashley wanted to make sure she was getting enough nutrients to support herself and her growing family. Despite faithfully taking an over-the-counter prenatal vitamin and making sure she was adequately supporting her pregnancy with a well-rounded diet, a micronutrient panel test revealed that she was significantly deficient in many areas. She quickly understood that fatigue, insomnia, restless legs, and countless other symptoms did not have to be a "normal" part of pregnancy and post-partum life!
Dr. Laffay and Ashley began to collaborate at this time to support their bodies and further learn how to help patients who were going through repairable experiences.
After taking additional steps to improve her health, she also started using high quality supplements, Ashley started feeling better and better each day. All of her symptoms began to dissipate. During a second pregnancy and having her micronutrients repleted, She had a completely different and overall better experience. She became a firm believer in safe supplementation proven by science to achieve adequate nutrition and an enhanced level of overall wellness.
Once Ashley started feeling better, she was able to give more of herself to the things that were important ---family, work, hobbies, and community commitments.
She was able to “show up” as her best self and now she is helping others do the same.

Liz Bollini, FNTP
Functional Medicine Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
Office Coordinator
Liz is the patient coodinator and nutritional therapy practitioner in our office. She has been on a personal journey with her health for the past 15 years. She looked at health as a means to be thin and a certain size then began having eating & body image issues. In her pursuit to be ‘healthy’ she found herself at an ideal weight, but not at ideal health. Her digestion was poor and was deficient in many key nutrients that are essential in order for the body to function optimally and to live a fully energetic life. That was her wake up call. Liz is a graduate of The Nutritional Therapy Association. The NTA’s philosophy centers on the idea that real health can be achieved through a holistic and individualized approach to nutrition and lifestyle. She joined the team @ Elite Healthcare and now oversees every detail of each patient's unique wellness plan to make sure they are well supported from start to finish. As the office's Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and graduate of the NTA, Nutritional Therapy Association, she is able to offer additional nutriton services to help patients adjust their diets to support better foundational health through the focus of whole food nutrient dense diets, blood sugar regulation, digestion, mineral balance, fatty acids, and hydration.
